Marvel's Spider-Man is a action-adventure Match Released based on the Marvel Comics superhero Spider-Man and developed by Insomniac Games.

Released on September 7, 2018, it is the very first licensed game developed by Insomniac. The game tells a new story about Spider-Man that isn't tied to an existing comic book, video game, or film, and covers the Peter Parker and Spider-Man facets of the personality.

Spider-Man was received upon release. Critics called it one of the best superhero games praising its gameplaythe battle and mechanics, graphics, storyline, characterization, and design of New York City, though believed it lacked innovation in its own design that was open-world. The game became a commercial success, promoting 3.3 million copies in its first three days of launch, and broke several sales documents.

Spider-Man includes a large ensemble cast of characters from the history of comics. Peter Parker (voiced by Yuri Lowenthal) is a 23-year old research assistant, who gains superhuman abilities after being bitten by a genetically-modified spider. Implementing a secret identity, Parker uses these abilities to look after the citizens of New York City since the superhero Spider-Man. Eight years into his superhero career, Parker is now an masterful and skilled crime fighter, but struggles to balance lives and his superhero. He's aided in his struggle with intrepid Daily Bugle reporter Mary Jane Watson (Laura Bailey), his ex-girlfriend, also NYPD Captain Yuri Watanabe (Tara Platt). In his civilian life, Parker is encouraged by his Aunt May (Nancy Linari) who volunteers at the F.E.A.S.T. homeless shelter run by philanthropist Martin Li (Stephen Oyoung). Parker is employed by his mentor and friend, the respected scientist Dr. Otto Octavius (William Salyers). Spider-Man's experience brings him into contact with different characters, including Miles Morales (Nadji Jeter) along with his parents, NYPD Officer Jefferson Davis (Russell Richardson) and Rio Morales (Jacqueline Pinol), OsCorp CEO along with New York mayor Norman Osborn (Mark Rolston), and Silver Sablinova (Nichole Elise), leader of the private military firm Sable International.

The mission to guard the city of spider-Man brings him into conflict with various supervillains. Fisk is sent to prison, but cautions that he had been the sole person. Fisk's absence gives rise to a supernaturally powered, demonic-mask sporting gang called the Demons who begin dividing town for the strong Mr. Side, who will corrupt individuals through his signature.

Several other characters--including Parker's and Watson's childhood friend Harry Osborn (Scott Porter), who has disappeared on a long European holiday, and anti-Spider-Man podcast host J. Jonah Jameson (Darin de Paul) have voice roles in the major game. The game includes several references such as the Sanctum Sanctorum, the Wakandan Embassy, Avengers Tower, Murdock & Nelson Attorneys at Law, Rand Corporation, and Alias Investigations. The game's downloadable material features Cheap EXP farming appearances by master-thief Black Cat (Erica Lindbeck) (that has a voice-only role in the main game), and Hammerhead (Keith Silverstein), leader of the Maggia crime family.
